Cario and Fidenzio Pesci founded the company "Pesci" in Sant'Agostino in 1860, together they combined their experience in metalwork,with the local demand for agricultural tools with the aim of improving farming technology.
The manufacturing of ploughs started a growing demand for Pesci, which stimulated production activity. The combination of the words "Pesci" and "Quality" quickly began to combine as an inseperable trademark for Pesci

In later years agriculture needed the support of new ideas and industrial skill if it was to develop new technology for intensive farming. In 1958 a range of EC/3 and EC/8 loaders/excavators was developed. These were a very popular product amongst farmers, as the demanded for an appliance to handle sugar beets grew rapidly.

In 1969 "Pesci" gave birth to its current generation of cranes. Italy's economy was now mostly industrial and Pesci Management abandoned the agricultural sector, moving to the industrial sector. Pesci's experience in hydraulic lifting naturally converted the company's concentration toward truck mounted cranes, which were still being prototyped by other potential rivals at the time.

The first crane model manufactured by Pesci was the P4, then a new complete range followed, ending with the P60000.

Nowadays Pesci manufacturing is based in Castelbolognese, it offers the most complete range of cranes on the market, with cranes from 2,5 to 92,5 t/m, short boom cranes, the classic Pesci SPE range with a secondary boom in line, timber cranes, recycling cranes, marine cranes, LP cranes specifically for the U.S. markets and timber loaders that can be equipped with clamshell buckets, log grabs or augers.
